In the midst of a divorce, the path forward can often seem unclear. Allison McFadden, an experienced attorney, court-appointed mediator, Certified Divorce Coach® and founder of Divorce by Allison, provides steady guidance to help individuals and families navigate this transition with clarity and confidence. Her approach centers on collaboration and understanding, empowering clients to make informed decisions that prioritize their well-being and long-term goals.

Allison has worked with families going through divorce and separation since 2010. Her background includes both traditional legal practice, dispute resolution, and modern coaching techniques designed to support clients before, during, and after the divorce process. In 2022, she founded Divorce by Allison, offering compassionate, forward-thinking support to individuals and couples nationwide as they make thoughtful choices rooted in clarity, fairness, and long-term stability.

“Many people avoid legal guidance because they fear the cost or that it will escalate the conflict. I work to remove that fear by providing information, walking clients through potential outcomes, and helping them feel prepared. When clients are informed, they can make decisions confidently and keep the process amicable.”

– Allison McFadden, Attorney, Certified Divorce Coach and Mediator

At Divorce by Allison, she guides clients through decisions such as developing parenting plans, addressing financial concerns, and navigating property division and custody matters. Allison also supports clients who are unrepresented in mediation, helping them understand the process, prepare for sessions, and make decisions that reflect their values and priorities. Her approach allows families to stay focused on what matters most, their relationships and the well-being of their children, without getting bogged down in conflict.

“All of my work is centered on reducing uncertainty and stress to make this difficult process more manageable. Whether coaching clients through preparing for divorce or mediation, or consulting with clients to review their legal options, I help them gain understanding of their choices and create a clear plan. I support my clients in making decisions that they believe are best for their family and their future, beyond just resolving current disputes. This approach allows families to move forward with a shared plan, instead of feeling like they are fighting against each other.”

Allison’s practice is flexible and contemporary, offering pay-as-you-go options, flat-fee packages, and easy scheduling. She prides herself on being an empathetic listener, breaking down complicated legal concepts into easy to understand, plain language, and meeting clients where they are. Allison creates a safe, supportive space where clients feel confident exploring their options without judgment or pressure.

Her certifications include advanced mediation training and she is a Certified Divorce Coach® (CDC) and Certified Pre-Mediation Coach® (DCA), reflecting her commitment to combining legal expertise with coaching and dispute resolution strategies. Allison’s attorney and mediation services are focused in Maryland, while also serving clients nationwide through coaching and parenting plan mediation.  Guided by a commitment to compassion and empathy, Allison applies these principles to make the divorce process more accessible and supportive for her clients.

Allison joined the Amicable Divorce Network because she values a professional community and modern innovation dedicated to amicable solutions to better serve families.
