Financial Clarity During Divorce with Kristina Heckel

Divorce decisions are often made without a clear understanding of their long-term financial impact. Meet Kristina Heckel, a financial advisor, Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA®) practitioner, and Certified Financial Education Instructor (CFEI®). She helps individuals and couples understand their finances during divorce, evaluate settlement options, and make informed decisions with clarity and confidence. Through her divorce-focused practice, Bloom Divorce Advisory Services, Kristina provides financial education and analysis that support resolution rather than conflict.

Kristina’s path into financial services began in the hospitality industry, where she spent more than a decade in restaurant management after earning her degree in Global Hospitality Leadership from the University of Houston. Managing payroll, vendor relationships, and cash flow gave her a deep appreciation for how financial stress affects people at every level. That experience ultimately led her to pivot into financial services, where she discovered how widespread financial confusion and lack of education truly are.

“I help people make informed financial decisions without fear or intimidation. Divorce is emotionally heavy, and my role is to bring clarity, education, and confidence so clients can move forward without feeling overwhelmed or in the dark.”

– Kristina Heckel, Bloom Divorce Advisory Services

After earning her CFEI® designation, Kristina began working with couples and quickly noticed a common dynamic: one partner often managed the finances while the other felt left in the dark. As friends navigated divorce and struggled with financial uncertainty, Kristina saw an opportunity to support people during one of the most vulnerable transitions of their lives. She earned her CDFA® credential and later completed divorce mediation training and Divorce Life Transitions Planning to better serve clients through uncoupling and major life changes.

Kristina works with both individuals and couples, focusing on helping women gain clarity around cash flow, marital assets, and long-term financial stability. Based in Arizona, she works with clients locally and nationwide through Zoom. She provides detailed financial analysis, education, and scenario planning, helping clients move through the divorce process feeling informed rather than overwhelmed. Kristina collaborates closely with attorneys, mediators, and other professionals to ensure decisions are fair, secure, and in the best interest of her clients.

“The best way to fight fear is with information. When clients truly understand their assets, cash flow, and options, they can make decisions based on facts instead of panic, and that changes the entire divorce experience.”

– Kristina Heckel

What sets Kristina apart is her service-first mindset and white-glove approach, shaped by her hospitality background. She meets clients where they are, listens closely to their concerns, and helps them understand not only their current financial picture but what life may look like after divorce. Her work is rooted in education, transparency, and respect for both parties. Further reflecting her commitment to learning and professional growth, she is also studying for the Certified QDRO Specialist (CQS) designation through the American Association of Certified QDRO Professionals (AACQP™), strengthening her ability to guide clients through complex retirement-related issues with clarity and care.

Kristina joined the Amicable Divorce Network because its values closely align with her own. She believes divorce does not have to be adversarial and that working with vetted, settlement-minded professionals creates better outcomes for families.
